Okay, I started out with Factions. Today, I got Prophecies. I went ahead and installed it.

First of all, I read that if you have both campaigns, you get six character slots - I have four. Plus, after my disgruntled self deleted my PVP ranger, I tried to start a prophecies character. The ony campaign I could choose was Factions!

Why is this? Do I have to uninstall factions and prophesies and start over with Prophecies and then factions? Or is there something else wrong?

Help...

Aw damn it sounds like you didn't link your accounts. No offense but you should've read more closely when installing Prophecies. I heard from others in the community that there's nothing support can do for you if you do that, but I'd try submitting a ticket anyway. So basically you have 2 accounts that can't be linked now. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Hmm I should've read your post more carefully. Did you add the Prophecies access key yet?

On the login screen click where it says "Create new account or Add Access Key", then make sure you click the box on the left "Add the access key to an existing Guild Wars account".

I didn't even GET anything to read. I put the 1st install disc in and it pretty much went from there until it asked for the second disc. I didn't see ANYTHING about linking accounts. I only started playing GW at the beginning of last month, you see, so I don't know alot of this stuff. -.-;;

I never installed Prophecies or Factions from the disc so I don't know how the installation process goes. I've always downloaded it. Let me know if you follow my steps on the login screen and that works for you. Just be sure to link the accounts and not create a new one or you'll be shite out of luck.

Hey, now, wait a minute. Where's the access key thingy for prophesies at? I don't think I lost anything. Lemme check the box.

Speaking of the box. This way I don't feel like a complete idiot. Does the box even SAY prophecies on it? Cuz I just got a copy that just says 'Guild Wars', and I assumed that was it. The manual says it has the six classes of Warrior, Elementalist, Ranger, Necromancer, Mesmer, and Monk. Am I right?

Now lemme ponder about that access key.

It doesn't say Prophecies on the box anywhere I don't think. It's just what people call the original without always having to call it "the original".

make sure you add that key to exsisting account
